How It Started
Before I ever cared about crumb structure or lamination or what temperature butter "should" be, I cared about one thing: how baking made people feel.
My earliest baking memories are with my mom. She taught me the kind of things you don't find in a recipe card — like how to pay attention, how to be patient, and how to trust your senses. The kitchen was where I learned comfort can be made from scratch, and that something as simple as a warm cookie can change the mood in a room.
I also grew up in the hospitality world through my dad, who owns a restaurant. I started working there when I was 14, doing a little bit of everything and learning what it really takes to take care of people for a living. Even then, I knew the bake shop was where I felt most at home. While others loved the line, I loved the quiet focus of dough, the small details, and the moment something came out of the oven exactly the way it was supposed to.
That pull eventually became my path. I studied Baking & Pastry Arts and committed myself to learning the craft the right way. Pastry school gave me the technique and the "why" behind what I'd been doing for years, and it challenged me to take something that started as love and turn it into a skill I could build a life on.
When I moved back to Florida, I realized I didn't just want to bake — I wanted to build something that felt personal. A bakery that reflects how I was raised and what I believe about food. Something real, something intentional, and something that brings people back to the kind of baking that feels like home.
Today, every loaf and every batch is rooted in that beginning: my mom teaching me at the counter, my dad showing me what it means to serve people well, and the years of training that turned a childhood love into a craft I'm proud to share.
